My name is Ernesto Paganoni and I began my career in 1982, as a 'traditional' animator, when I produced some key collaborations which included advertising , videoclips and animation in the GAUMONT production of "ASTERIX and the BRITONS".

Since then I have been at the forefront of the "digital revolution" and I have enthusiastically innovated and experimented with various synergies between traditional animation and new technologies, and developed original animation projects. In 1992, I setup "Locomotion srl" which was not only proved successful on the general market, but also created special effects for the advertising and television. In this way, i created "ZZZOE", a television series for children using a mixed 2D and 3D techniques. It was heavily supported by the European Community. This also led to a partnership with INTERACTIVE which involved the Locomotion, myself and the DE LAURENTIIS GROUP.

In July 1998 I was freelance again and I opened my own studio in Bergamo. Here I worked on the animated feature film "GABBIANELLA E IL GATTO CHE LE INSEGNO' A VOLARE" and also on the special effects for the film "COSI' E' LA VITA" with Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo.

In 1999 and 2000, I directed two animation series pilots: one was "ARRIVA LA PIMPA" for RAI, and here for the first time the popular character of ALTAN is animated, using Motion Capture and 3D technologies; while, in the other film, "PK" for the DISNEY CHANNEL, which hero was PAPERINIK from a Disney comic book.

Since 2001 I have been animator-director for CHINATOWN 3D (Fiat Granchi, Polase, Shell) and here I created the 3D animation for the feature film, "TOTO' SAPORE" for "Medusa film".

In 2004, I began working freelance on some of my own 3D and 2D animation projects, and one of particular note was the television transposition of the BONVI's STURMTRUPPEN comic strips.

I have created various Videoclips for high-profile artists such as Marco Masini, Gatto Panceri and Vasco Rossi.

In 2011, I have been the animator-director for the feature films "DRACULA 3D" for Dario Argento and animator for the american feature films "THE PHILOSOPHERS" and "REKILL"

In recent years I have developed an interesting collaboration with Maurizio Crozza, creating animations in only 48 hours for his format "Crozza in Wonderland"

In 2016 - 2017 I was the director of "YOYO", a full CGI coproduction preschool animation series 52x7 by "RAI FICTION - Italy, SHOWLAB - Italy, TELEGAEL - Ireland and GRID ANIMATION - Belgium"

Now I start a new direction esperience for a kids series called "KLINCUS "

Since 1992, I'm teaching 3D animation in the EUROPEAN INSTITUTE OF DESIGN of MILAN and since 2014 in the LUCHINO VISCONTI cinema's school of Milan too.
